Years ago I was born in the hills of West Virginia as the second and final living child of a couple of parents who loved the Lord and strove to do His will. My mother’s dad, an old time farmer, preached for the church of Christ for many years. In the 1930s, he and his children built the church building where he preached. In the early 40s, my mom and dad married and about 20 years later, Dad started preaching in that same building. Just before Dad died in the 1990s, my husband began preaching there and has continued to do so.
My life has revolved around my family and teaching. I retired from public education as the Director of Curriculum for a WV district in 2013. I continued to teach for both a local university and an online one, retiring totally at the end of 2017 to help my sister care for my mother who died in 2018 at the good old age of 98.
I have been a Christian for almost 55 years and have taught both children and ladies from that great book, the Bible. In addition to my education degrees, I have earned a Master’s Degree in Religious Studies. I am currently studying New Testament Greek and attempting to learn Spanish. I never plan to quit learning or teaching!
As you will see, I have an interest in poetry too. I started writing poetry when I was in high school. Periodically I will share one of my favorites that I have written in hopes you will enjoy reading it.
I am so happy the Lord has made the Internet possible so ladies like you and I can get together across the miles and study His word. If you ever have a question, please do not hesitate to share it with me in the Q & A section and I will do my best to provide a Bible answer. I am looking forward to our time together.
